Public Engagement

We are committed to engaging with the public and communicating the research we are undertaking. To date this has included:

  • An exhibition at the Thackray Museum
  • An exhibit at the Royal Society Summer exhibition (2005) and Science day at Buckingham Palace (2006)
  • Delivering workshops at schools (year 6 to year 10)
  • Hosting school visits at the iMBE
  • Great Bones - a workshop for school (Key Stage 3)

Over 20 of our researchers are trained Science and Engineering Ambassadors (SetPoint, West Yorkshire) and the Institute has received over £100K funding specifically for public engagement activities..
