Research activities

Highly qualified Medical Engineer with extensive research expertise in biomaterials, biomechanics, cardiovascular and orthopaedic bioengineering.My current role within iMBE has three principal functions:
  • Independent senior researcher
    • Investigator on publicly and privately funded research grants (e.g. EPSRC, Furlong Charitable Research Foundation, Wellcome)
  • Research Manager
    • Responsible for managing industry funded orthopaedic and cardiovascular applied research projects, from concept through to delivery for many global companies and SME's; working in collaboration with BITECIC Ltd
  • Laboratory Manager
    • Responsible for our extensive laboratory facilities leading and managing a team of highly skilled research support technical staff
