White Rose Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Group (BiTEG) annual meeting 2020

Date

This year the White Rose Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Group (BiTEG) annual meeting was hosted by the University of Leeds as an online virtual event on Thursday 17th December 2020.
Originally established as a collaboration between the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield, and York, the group has grown to include researchers from across the region. The meeting aims to bring together scientists of all levels to promote new ideas and collaborations, especially providing early career researchers (MSc, PhD and postdocs) with the opportunity to showcase their exciting work and expand their networks.

The keynote speaker was Abhay Pandit  who is the Established Professor in Biomaterials and Scientific Director of a Science Foundation Ireland funded Centre for Research in Medical Devices (CÚRAM) at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Prof Pandit has over thirty years of experience in the field of biomaterials.
