Optimising Knee Therapies Final Meeting 2022
This half-day hybrid conference taking place on Friday 22 July 2022 will showcase research progress made through the course of the EPSRC Optimising Knee Therapies Programme grant as it draws to a close. We will be taking a look forward at what is next, with plenty of opportunity for discussion and networking. The conference will be attended by members of our advisory board, clinical, academic and industrial partners. All are welcome to attend; we particularly encourage anyone with an interest developing and evaluating knee interventions to join us and contribute to the discussions.
Morning Session:
We will summarise the key advances that have been made over the course of the programme, focussing on the new experimental and computational methods developed and the progress on the development of decellularised products and hydrogels as early stage interventions for knee osteoarthritis
Afternoon Sessions:
We will focus on how the methods have been applied to examine early stage treatments for cartilage, bone, meniscus and ligamentous tissues and present the results of these studies. We will also discuss how the approaches are being extended and adapted for other joints through aligned and follow-on work, and how clinical challenges are evolving.
The event will take place at the Weetwood Hall Estate, Leeds and relevant information will be provided to registered attendees nearer the time.
Remote option: For those not able to join in person, there is an option to participate remotely. The morning talks will be pre-recorded and made available beforehand. The afternoon sessions (1pm -5pm) will be live streamed.
