‘We’ve got your back’ - Otley Science Fair

Nine staff and PhD students from the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering  (Faculties of Engineering and Biological Science) attended the Otley Science Fair on 15th November 2014 interacting with the general public through a interactive exhibits. Visitors to the stand ranged from toddlers to pensioners, and everyone in between!

‘We’ve got your back’

Interactive activities were used to highlight the research on-going within the iMBE, including our Giant Spine, an upscaled model of 2 vertebrae and the spinal disc, Human Body at Your Finger Tips: 3D Virtual Visualisation, interaction with 3D images and computer models of different spines and the Jump o Meter which demonstrated the pressure on the spinal disc from jumping.
