Invited speakers:

Professor Philip Conaghan MBBS PhD FRACP FRCP is Director of the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine at the University of Leeds, UK, a EULAR Centre of Excellence. He is a Rheumatologist and Deputy Director of the NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre for the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. His research spans early translational studies through large late-phase clinical trials, with major interests in understanding pathogenesis and developing effective therapies for common arthritides. He is an executive member of the international outcomes group OMERACT. He is on a number of editorial boards, is co-editor of the most recent Oxford Textbook of Rheumatology and has authored/co-authored over 550 publications as original research, reviews and book chapters.

Mr Mike McNicholas BSc, MB ChB, FRCS(Ed & Glasg), MD, FRCSEd (Tr & Orth), FFSEM RCSI is Consultant Knee Surgeon at Liverpool University Hospitals Broadgreen. President of the UK Biological Knee Society. Honorary Senior Lecturer at University of Manchester, member of the University of Leeds EPSRC Advisory Board. Chair of the ICRS Registry Steering Committee. Royal College of Surgeons Advanced Arthroscopy and Train the Trainer Faculty. Clinician advisor to NICE, associate editor and reviewer for several orthopaedic journals. Current research interests include graphene and stem cell applications in knee injury; ligament reconstruction, osteotomy, cartilage repair and arthroplasty outcomes and the treatment of focal articular cartilage defects and early arthritis using novel implants.

Mr Sanjeev Anand MBBS, MS (Orth), DNB (Orth), FRCSI, FRCS (Tr & Orth), Dip SEM, PGCert Med Ed is a Consultant knee surgeon, practicing at Leeds Teaching Hospitals with an interest in complex knee reconstructions, joint preservation surgery and paediatric knee surgery.  He has been involved in writing up various national guidelines on soft tissue knee surgery.  He is a founder member and Academic chair for International Society for Knowledge for Surgeons on Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty (ISKSAA) and is editor-in-chief of Journal of Arthroscopy and Joint Surgery.
